29th August 2016 – Southampton, Oxfam

Bank holiday Monday and we were in Southampton so that the middle daughter could visit Forbidden Planet. I managed to quickly nip into the Oxfam music shop there and did managed to leave with two records.

Both from early 90’s indie band, Thousand Yard Stare.  I loved these chaps back then, saw them a fair few times, got loads of their t-shirts too.  Glad to see they’re back playing shows again these days.

Photo0192I managed to pick up a 12” copy of “Comeuppance EP”.  Now I already own this one on CD single and also 10” (red vinyl) and it was only 49p!  Nice to add this one for that crazy small price.  Great single, a real classic.

Also as 12” white label promo for 0-0 A.E.T. (No Score After Extra Time). A one sided promo (two tracks) with catalogue number: AARD-5T-A1. One of my favourite songs of theirs. This one was actually reduced down to 33p!

thousandyardstare-00aet-promoTurns out there isn’t evening an entry on Disocgs for this one, so I added it! Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/Thousand-Yard-Stare-0-0-AET-No-Score-After-Extra-Time-/release/8973544
